It doesn’t have to be lonely at the top

It is estimated the average company leader has over 70 crucial markers he or she is expected to watch in his or her business every day. There is a vision to be fulfilled, decisions to be made and plans to be executed. As a leader, you are there to listen to the challenges, help walk through options to resolve and be a general sounding board for your team. It is the leader’s job to take this upon him/herself and set the example of the organization. Just one problem – who does the leader go to? Having top level discussions with Me, Myself & I are not the ideal board meeting.

It is no wonder, one of the most common statements we hear from CEO’s and business owners is “It’s lonely at the top.” The good news – it doesn’t have to be! In my career, I have been fortunate to have board members and advisors to bounce ideas off of, CEO groups to discuss my business challenges with and good friends who are there for me at the end of the day. Whether you already have your winning combination or are looking to research your options; we hope you enjoy this compilation of resources, stories and advice.
